Edgewater Snitch
Tri-Colored, Rough
(Sow’s Ear Taltos x Sow’s Ear Mascara)

Young John Wayne with a good measure of Robin Williams might best describe Edgewater Snitch.

While many may think of a snitch as a “tattletale or one who walks off with something”, our Snitch is named for the golden, fast moving, winged object used in the game of Quidditch.  (Hello, Harry Potter fans!)  The snitch is considered the most valuable game item as the fate of the game is usually decided upon who, if anyone, captures the snitch.  Quidditch is the most popular sport in the Wizarding world and, considering that Edgewater Snitch is descended from a long line of witches……Taltos – Redwitch – Witewitch, we feel he is appropriately named.

From the “get go,” Snitch’s attitude has been outstanding; a very laid back, loving, sweet and gentle guy.  He is an extremely smart character with a sense of humor, and one who loves to be the center of attention.

Putting personality aside, the physical attributes of this little terrier are pretty impressive.  He is incredibly well-balanced with exceptional movement (just watch him cover ground!), lovely  head, no chest, outstanding rear, narrow front, a topline you could eat off of and a coat that is a pleasure to groom.

At four months of age, Snitch took his act on the road with a visit to the exclusive Camp Visnauskas.  It was there that he confirmed that he has a “nose that knows,” quickly picking up scent and tracking the various squirrels, chipmunks and rodents that had taken up residence.  Although this was only an early indication of his potential hunting ability, we are looking forward to introducing him to field work this spring.

In his first performance at the JRTCA Nationals (2004), he rated an impressive 3rd in the 4-6 rough/broken class – a class of 27.  He, then, kicked off 2005 with a 3rd and 2nd  placements, respectively, in large classes at the Fox Cry trials in January.

Although still too young to be listed as “available at stud,” Edgewater Snitch is taking casting calls and signing autographs at the home of John and Linda Wishe.  (Email:  mudhen613@aol.com)
