Sparky

Sparky was signed to the Edgewater Studio several months ago and has proven that he is quite the young man.

He arrived with some pretty impressive credentials…being one of the “miracle babies”, a son of the fantastic Sow’s Ear White Riot (Bronze Medallion, 1998 U.S. and Canadian National Conformation Champion as well as U.S. and Canadian Racing Champion and is still proving herself as a multiple winner of Veteran Racing Champion divisions.)  Sired by The Hollow After Max, and grandson of one of the most fantastic terriers, Sow’s Ear Max Factor This!  His lineage is, indeed, one of outstanding terriers.

Sparky  will, undoubtedly, reign as Edgewater’s Drama King.  The JRT equivalent of Clark Gable, he is incredibly handsome with his big head, lovely neck and narrow front.  With squish for a chest and a fabulous coarse coat  - that is easy to groom - he is a very well put together young man!  His personality is superb and he usually delights all with his antics.

 This past June, Sparky made his debut in the conformation ring at the JRTCA Rescue Trial.  His first time out and he was 4-6 Month Reserve Dog Pup on both Saturday and Sunday.

 Wondering what his racing potential might be, we took him to the Farmstead Fun Day, this July, and were pleasantly surprised with his racing aptitude and quickness.  Next on the agenda was introducing him to G-T-G and he appeared to have a knack for that as well.

 Although too young for the ladies at this time, we will be accepting reservations for early 2006.  Of course a negative Brucellosis, as well as BAER and CERF will be required.

 Sparky is co-owned with Karen McCarthy of Sow’s Ear Farm in Galway, New York.
