Suzy Mayfair of Edgewater NHC : Groundhog Suzy, a daughter of Sow’s Ear Taltos (Harry) is definitely her daddy’s girl! Beautiful top line, no chest, long, graceful neck, well angulated and a dead narrow front. Add to that her "Look at Me!" attitude and you have a little power house (she measures out at a mere 12 inches). She has proven herself in the conformation ring. When shown in Open, Under Rough Class (always one of the largest classes), Suzy was almost always in the ribbons. At four weeks in whelp, she still went Reserve Open Bitch. Now, being exhibited in the Working Bitch division, she has always been “in the ribbons.” Suzy has demonstrated that she is a much focused little bitch. Having given her opportunity to race this past year, never taking her eye off the lure, she has exhibited speed and competitiveness hanging right in with larger and more experienced bitches.
She, apparently, has inherited her
sire’s keen hunting instincts and tenacity. Although her first
hunting season was plagued by rain and foul weather, Suzy proved
that she was a force to be reckoned with. 2004 confirmed this
fact. She demonstrated that her tracking ability was outstanding;
that she was capable of working as part of a team (it is great fun
to watch her working with her sire) as well as solo. Having earned
her NHC to groundhog, she has exhibited tenacity, an exceptional
nose and undying stamina. All in all, a truly great little hole
dog!
